PROMPT GUIDE
How to Use Regional Prompter (Split the Image to Draw Two People)
Regional Prompter is an extension used in AUTOMATIC1111 and Forge. When drawing two characters, it lets you write prompts per area, such as red hair for the girl on the left and blue hair for the girl on the right. Rather than tags for how two people interact, this guide focuses on how to split the image and how to write the prompt.

The short answer
Regional Prompter is an extension that splits the image into regions and applies a different prompt to each. For two people side by side, split the image in two and write the left and right person's features in separate sections. When colors blend, the basic fix is to keep shared words and per-person words clearly apart.
What is Regional Prompter and what can it do?
It is an extension that splits the image left/right or top/bottom so you can use a different prompt for each area.
With a normal prompt, your words mix across the whole image, so when you draw two people their hair colors or outfits often swap or blend. Regional Prompter lets you divide the image and decide which words go where, which makes it easier to keep two characters apart. You can also split background and person, or top half and bottom half.

Rinka's tips
- Separator words and setting names can differ between versions. Check the extension's page for the current syntax
- Splitting into too many regions makes each one small and prone to breaking. Start with two
How do you draw two people separately with Regional Prompter?
Steps to draw two people on the left and right
- Install Regional Prompter from the extensions list and reload the interface
- Tick the enable box in the Regional Prompter section of the generation screen
- Set the split direction to left/right and the ratio to 1,1 (a landscape image is recommended)
- Write the shared words (number of people, quality, background) first, then after the separators the left person's and right person's features
- Make one image and check that hair and outfit colors didn't swap
- If they blend, remove color words from the shared section and write them only in each person's section
Example using BREAK as the separator: 2girls, standing side by side, park, masterpiece, best quality BREAK girl, red hair, ponytail, white dress BREAK girl, blue hair, short hair, black jacketRecommended landscape size example: 1216x832 (SDXL) / 768x512 (SD1.5)The example assumes the first section is shared, the second is the left and the third is the right. How sections are counted changes depending on whether the shared part is treated as a common prompt, so keep your settings and your writing consistent.
What if hair or outfit colors blend?
Usually a color word is in the shared section, or the base ratio is too high.

How can you draw two people without Regional Prompter?
Keep each person's features few and limit colors to two or three, and they blend less even without the extension.
For example, making only one difference, such as a red-haired girl and a blue-haired girl, is easier to convey. If they still blend, you can make each person separately and combine them in an image editor, or redraw one of them with inpaint. Some people combine it with ControlNet when they want to fix poses and positions firmly.
What happens when you change how the image is split?
Changing the ratio changes the size of each region, and with it the size and position of the people.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Which interfaces support Regional Prompter?
It is used as an extension for AUTOMATIC1111 and Forge. Support and syntax change between versions, so check the download page.
What should I use as the separator?
Besides BREAK, some versions have dedicated keywords. Match the syntax in the extension's documentation with your settings, such as whether a common prompt is used.
Can I draw three or more people separately?
Yes, by splitting into three or more regions, but each becomes smaller and breaks more easily. Use a larger image and fewer features per person.
Faces break with Regional Prompter.
The regions are often small, so faces are drawn small. Try a larger image, an upper-body composition, or fixing faces afterwards.
