PROMPT GUIDE
AI Video Prompt Examples (copy-paste motion, camera and scene prompts)
A prompt for an AI video generator is more stable as a short line saying what moves and how, plus the camera move, than as a long description. This guide lays out examples you can copy as they are, sorted by motion, camera and scene, with steps for rewriting them to fit your own picture and fixes for when the motion does not work.

The short answer
For video examples, the basic order is subject, motion, camera and mood, with just one motion per shot. Pick the closest copy-paste example, then rewrite only the subject and place to fit your own picture, and the video is less likely to break.
How do you use AI video prompt examples?
Choose the closest example and rewrite just three parts to fit your picture: the subject, the place and the motion.
For image-to-video, the trick is to write only the motion and the camera, without repeating a description of what is in the picture. For text-to-video, add the description of the subject and place first. The number of characters, the languages and the video length you can use change by service, so check the official guidance.

What are example prompts for motion? (people, hair, clothes, blinking)
Use only one motion per shot, and adding slowly or gently makes it slow and natural.
The girl slowly turns her head toward the camera and smiles softly. Static camera, soft natural light. Her long hair and ribbon sway gently in the breeze. The camera stays still, calm mood. The girl blinks slowly and takes a small breath. Subtle motion, static camera. What are example prompts for camera moves? (push in, pull back, orbit)
Write camera moves as slowly or just a little, and do not make the camera and the person move a lot at the same time. That is the trick to stability.
Static camera. The girl stands still while soft wind moves her hair. The camera slowly pushes in toward her face. She stays still and smiles softly. The camera slowly pulls back to reveal the whole street. The girl stands still.A list of camera move terms in English with their meanings Camera Movement Prompts for AI Video Generators →
What are example prompts for scenes? (rain, seaside, an evening street)
For scene examples, writing that the air of the place moves gives a video feel without breaking the character.
Steps for rewriting an example to fit your own picture
- Look at your picture and decide on just one thing to move (the person, the hair or the background)
- Choose and copy one line from the examples above that is close to what you want to move
- Rewrite the subject and place to match your picture (the picture already decides how the person looks, so you do not need to add that)
- Make the camera static at first and make one video, then add a camera move once the motion is stable
- If it breaks, weaken the motion words to slowly or subtle, reduce the motion to one, and make it again
What if an example does not move well? (common failures and fixes)
The big causes of failure are asking for too much motion and writing too long a description of the picture.
Rinka's tips
- If you are unsure of your English, write who, how they move and the camera in one sentence each in your own language, then turn it into short English. It cuts down on missing parts
- Even the same example gives slightly different results each time. Make two or three and choose the one with the least breakage
- The same words in an example can work differently depending on the service. Check the official writing guidance as well

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I write video generation prompts in a language other than English?
It depends on the service. English is often said to follow your intent more reliably, so we recommend thinking in your own language and turning it into short English. Check the supported languages in the official guidance.
Can I copy the examples as they are?
There is generally no concern about rights in example prompts themselves. But rewriting the subject and place to match your own picture makes the picture less likely to break.
How many motions can I put in one prompt?
We recommend just one at first. The more motions you add, the more easily the face and hands break, so add them little by little once it works.
Do the examples change between image-to-video and text-to-video?
For image-to-video, leave out descriptions of what is in the picture and write only motion and camera. For text-to-video, add the description of the subject and place first.
Can I specify the video length in an example?
In most cases the length is set on a settings screen rather than in the prompt. The lengths you can use change by service and plan, so check the official guidance.
