PROMPT GUIDE

Full-Body Standing Art, Turnaround and Character Sheet Prompts (Plus Expression Variants)

For standing character art (tachie), putting in full body, standing and simple background gives you an image where the whole body stays in frame and the background is easy to remove. For turnarounds and character sheets, the basic approach is to line the views up in one image with reference sheet and multiple views. For expression variants, fix the seed and change only the expression tags to keep the same face.

Standing art prompts (keeping the full body in frame)

Standing art comes down to three basics: full body, standing straight, and a plain background. If the head or feet get cut off, adding cropped to the negative prompt on top of full body helps everything fit in the frame.

Turnaround and character sheet prompts

reference sheet is the tag for a design reference sheet, and multiple views is the tag for the same character drawn from several directions. Listing straight-on (front), from side and from behind makes a front/side/back turnaround more likely.

Rinka's tips

  • For turnarounds, a landscape canvas (such as 1536x1024) makes it easier to fit three figures side by side
  • If the outfit changes between views, write the clothing tags near the front to strengthen them
  • It rarely lines up perfectly in one try. Generate several and pick the most consistent one

How do I make expression variants with the same face?

Make expression variants by keeping the prompt and seed fixed and swapping only the expression tags. Be careful: changing tags other than the expression will also change the hair and clothes.

VariantExpression tags to swap inNotes
Neutrallight smileThe base face
Smilesmile, open mouthOpening the mouth makes it brighter
Embarrassedblush, embarrassedShows embarrassment with blushing cheeks
Angryangry, frownShows anger with the eyebrows and mouth
Sadsad, tearing upFewer tears looks more natural
Surprisedsurprised, open mouth, wide-eyedMakes the eyes bigger
  • For even more consistency, change the expression with inpainting (redrawing only the face) so the clothes and hair don't change at all
  • Making variants with the same composition as the standing art (full body, standing) keeps them from shifting when layered in a game

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The feet get cut off in my standing art.

Write full body and standing near the front, and add cropped to the negative prompt. A portrait canvas (such as 832x1216) also makes it easier to fit the whole body.

The front, side and back views in my turnaround don't match.

Add from side and from behind to reference sheet and multiple views. The quickest route is to use a landscape canvas, generate several, and pick the most consistent one.

The face changes in my expression variants.

Keep the seed and prompt fixed and swap only the expression tags. If it still changes, redraw just the face with inpainting so everything else stays as it is.
